This is a demo of a game I’ve just started developing. It’s not fully completed, and I’m looking to gather suggestions and feedback on the gameplay and level design.

Gameplay: It’s a traditional 2D side-scrolling platformer controlled with the arrow keys or WASD + Spacebar. The player has three abilities:

  1. Hotkey 1: Creates a block above the player’s head. Pressing 1 again will drop the block. Currently, an unlimited number of blocks can be generated. This can be used for potential puzzle-solving or trap interactions (suggestions are welcome).
  2. Hotkey 2: Freeze. This skill temporarily freezes objects the player is touching, like moving platforms or other interactive objects (suggestions are welcome).
  3. Hotkey 3: Bullet. This is a more traditional ability, used to shoot and attack enemies. If you have any fun design ideas, feel free to let me know.

Things I feel the game is currently missing:

  1. Engaging puzzle elements
  2. Interesting trap designs
  3. Highly interactive enemies
